How should the molds of precision punching machines be maintained?
(1) The aperture of the precision punch press mold should be more than twice the processing thickness, and the aperture should be as large as possible. Generally, the aperture should exceed 3MM, otherwise it is easy to break and endanger the service life of the mold.
(2) The total height of the molding mold should not exceed 8MM, the size of common blinds should not exceed 75MM, and the aperture of the convex mold should not exceed 65MM.
(3) The molds that are not commonly used in precision high-speed punching machines should undergo rust prevention treatment and oil coating on time.
(4) The gap of the upper mold is determined by the thickness of the processing. For example, the upper mold for processing 2MM plates cannot process 3MM plates or 1MM plates, otherwise it will aggravate damage and even crush the mold.
(5) The workstations around the molding station cannot be used, as the height of the molding mold is much higher than that of a general mold. It can be disassembled after the molding process is completed.
(6) Low speed gear needs to be selected during molding.
(7) The cutting edge of the mold for processing thick steel plates with a punch press should not have a diagonal angle, so the diagonal angle should be connected by a circular arc, otherwise it is very easy to damage or collapse the angle.
The oil injection of punch press molds depends on the condition of the processing raw materials, and the amount and frequency of oil injection should be determined. The molds should be filled with oil, which should be light automotive engine oil. Raw materials with rust and scale can cause rust to enter between the mold and the top during processing, preventing the mold seat from being moved freely. In such cases, if oil is added, rust and scale are more likely to accumulate. In turn, the oil should be wiped clean, dissolved once a month, cleaned with gasoline using a car, and reassembled to achieve satisfactory processing.
